How Endorsements Are Determined

Texas Right to Life spends hours interviewing every single candidate on our list to ensure your elected officials will actually save children from abortion.

You deserve to feel confident you're voting for men and women who are 100% Pro-Life.

To earn our endorsement, a candidate first has to fill out a survey about what they believe on Pro-Life issues. Then, a panel of our staff and supporters interviews the candidate. The personal meeting allows us to ask tough questions and shows us whether the person really has a heart for this issue.

If a candidate passes the interview, we endorse them. If they don't believe in the Right to Life, we offer direction for them to think about these issues more in the future.

We only require a candidate to go through this process once, but if an incumbent has acted or voted against Texas Right to Life’s positions, they have to meet with us again to explain their actions.

Sometimes, a current official seeks a different position. In that case, we meet with the candidate again, even though we have interviewed them before, to make sure they will defend the Right to Life in a new role.
